“Doing Something is Better Than Nothing”

Hello! and welcome to my site. My name is Bernice and I am a 50 something year old who is passionate about helping others my age and older live a healthy lifestyle. After suffering from A-fibb and SVT (supraventricular tachycardia) a Catheter Ablation was my best hope. Unforeseen complications left me with a long recuperation. With healthy eating and exercise, I was able to get well and even donated a kidney.

In December 2016, I was privileged to be a living donor for my niece. I looked for videos that would help me with each aspect of that journey and couldn’t find it, so I decided to chronicle my experiences as a kidney donor and entitled it My Life as a Kidney Donor. I will share those experiences on this site as well.

Any age group is welcome to read and interact on this site because you will be able to apply a lot of the content.

I share healthy tips about foods, recipes to try, exercises, and issues that we might encounter.

Finally, I believe laughter is good for the soul and I have a series on my YouTube channel called “Mom and Tiff.” My daughter is hilarious and keeps me laughing. We share situations that have happened in our lives on the videos that are available on this blog as well.

Thanks for stopping by. Stay and read, or use the links to watch as much as you want. Don’t forget to leave a comment. Have a blessed day!
